About the Property

One of the few surviving French colonial buildings in Vientiane, the Settha Palace was originally known as "Le Bungalow" — its French signboard discovered still intact during 1994 restoration. Built in 1932, it served as a private residence before the Theodas family opened it as a hotel in the 1950s. After nationalization and decades as government housing, a five-year restoration (1994-1999) returned it to its 1930s colonial grandeur.
