Capella Singapore
Norman Foster's reimagining of Sentosa's 1880s British artillery quarters
About the Property
Set within restored 1880s British Tanah Merah military buildings on Sentosa Island, Capella Singapore marries military heritage with contemporary luxury. The former Royal Artillery officers' recreational quarters were reimagined by Norman Foster into 112 rooms and suites, with interiors by celebrated Indonesian designer Jaya Ibrahim. The hotel entered diplomatic history when it hosted the historic 2018 Trump-Kim summit — the first-ever meeting between a US and North Korean leader.
